Default Laptop

I am looking for some advise on a laptop. I'm looking for something that I can FaceBook with my family and my pics will look good on (the one that I take that are good). Also will be going wireless.

Any advise would be appreciated. Not looking for anything to $$ because I will still be using my PC a lot.

Thanks

You can do that with any laptop. Maybe you should just take care to buy one with built-in wi-fi card, so you don't have to buy it separately.

I have one HP laptop, and I hate it, but that's just probably my model, I know that they're the #1 laptop brand.
I also have a Gateway laptop which I simply adore. Basically, just look for a model that has the right screen size (and look), some good hard drive and preferably not less than 1 GB of RAM memory and you'll be fine.

get at least 2GB of RAM and a dedicated video card if you're going to do any type of image editing. most laptops have a built in wifi card these days.

I too bought my first mac this year. 15" MacBook Pro. Awesome. Can't compare with any computers I've ever used. BUT not cheap.

Apple - MacBook - White polycarbonate 13-inch MacBook They start at $999 for a 13"

Yes, that's right, a dedicated video card and more RAM is preferable if you're going to do image editing.

If all you want to do is browse the web and maybe display a few pictures then have a look at a netbook. Way cheaper than a laptop and can do everything you need. Wireless built in to all of them I think.

Not good for image editing or anything else high powered though, not only because netbooks are underpowered but also beacause they have very small screens.

I have a HP entertainment Pavillion laptop, a compaq laptop and a HP desktop unit and I am happy with all three. I run just about every kind of photo software you can buy on all three with no problems.
