Default Anyone joining the Worldwide Photo Walk?

I just signed up today for July 18th's Worldwide Photo Walk and was wondering whether anyone else here is going to attend.

Don't know what I am talking about? Well, here is the link:

http://worldwidephotowalk.com/

Now you certainly don't need to be part of a group of other photographers to amble through a city taking pictures, but this
sounds like it could be a lot of fun to meet new people perhaps learn new things.

I wanted to go to one of the 5 walks in San Francisco, but they are all full because I forgot to sign up for them--I had my chances, I just forgot.

I picked one in Sacramento that still had room and it comes with a pretty nifty perk: for the first time ever, the Sacramento Train Museum is allowing a private group in separate from the rest of the public AND we get to use tripods!

So how about you folks? Anyone going to join me in Sacramento? Anyone going to be anywhere in California on the 18th?

Check out the list of prizes for the best photo. Wow!

I'm leading the one in Wellington, NZ this year. I went last year and had heaps of fun. I highly recommend them if there's one in your area.

I went last year. This year this isn't one near me. Plus, I will be driving all that day for vacation. Maybe next year.

Thanks for sharing this info! We've just signed up for the one in Nottingham, UK. It'll be me with the P&S so if anyone else goes to that one, no sneering please!

Huh. Wish I'd known about this earlier, the two closest ones are full up . Will have to keep tabs on that for the next time.
