Well, my wife thinks I spend more time with my camera than her so I'll just have to call it Mrs Smith as well!

The only thing I call my camera is either "Canon" or "XSi"

I'm pretty much the same way.

Honestly never named a car, bike, or camera.

I do tell my wife every frog, snake, and lizard we see around the house, is my pet [insert reptile here] Spot.

I have to break my lurking silence for this thread. I just have to.

My camera's name is Marjorie. Unless I specify I am talking about a camera, people assume I am talking about a best friend.

Back to lurking.

Only works if you have a Nikon D2x/s/h

If I had to give it a name, I'd call it Pixel. I've always thought that's an awesome name for a pet, and it suits a camera rather nicely.

I generally refer to it as "my baby"

It's not possible to have an affair, emotional or otherwise, with something nameless.

Nikki Sue comes from a troubled background having been refurbished, now more politically correctly renamed "recertified". Being a Southern gal, she's has to follow the stereotype and be called by two first names. Because she's a D40X, Nikki Sue comes from the lower spectrum of camera society, the wrong side of the pixel, you might say. Though she lacks the sophistication of her upper crust cousins, I find her honest simplicity to be rather alluring, and I love her all the more for it.

As I lift her up lovingly to take her out on the town, my hands caressing her gently, flowing over her every curve, I think, "I'm so lucky to have a girl like you." She feels the warmth of my touch, my fingers slowly and lightly brushing over her hot shoe, bringing forth a soft purring as she stirs to life. Her silent wave motor begins to pulse with anticipation of fulfillment, knowing that she's soon to arrive in a place of pleasure that exists in most womens' dreams, but sadly, in too few realities. She squeals with glee as we pass through the door, "Take me my love, now, my diaphragm is warm and dilating, pierce me with your shafts of light and stir me to the very depths of my sensor!"

And that, my friends is why my camera has a name!
