Hello DPS friends,
Its been my curious to ask a question somebody about Modes use. I feel bad when i use Auto, cuz i dont feel like thats creative .Yes your intention, your interest ,your imagination are involved but can a Auto Mode user can be referred as a photographer. Is photography only about your imagination and creativity not how you want it from the camera? Are we manupulating cameras to get our creativity only. Is it a cheating because its not real what you see? Main question what is Photography? Take a moment, manupulate a moment or create an imagination world? or All of these. This might be stupid questions and i know somehow it is but please you can reply what you think and feel of photography. thankyou for reading. Prachin |

All of these.
By using manual you can get the picture to look more how you want it to look, rather than how the people that make the camera guess you want it to look

95% times I use aperture priority, but thats because I mostly shoot household objects (I am too lazy to venture outside
).IMO, it not a question of the mode in which you shoot, but the feeling others get seeing the final picture. There the composition gets much more importance than the technicalities. Sure, shooting in manual modes gives you a lot of options, but "the photographer's eye" is the final selling point; manual mode simply helps to bring that out.

Anyhow -- shoot what you want! I usually use a "priority" mode (aperture or shutter) depending on what my intentions are. If not that, Program mode, if I'm just grabbing a quick shot for documentation. And finally, if I really need control and my camera is guaranteed to make the wrong choice (for example, night shots), I'll use full-manual mode. Use what is appropriate, not what anyone else tells you is "right".
