Default The problem with new gear...

I recently acquired a used Sigma 500mm f/4.5 and this thing has driven my compulsion for bird/wildlife photography to an extreme. Pretty much every day I am at the local nature park for about 3hrs walking/stalking wildlife....I have too many images to edit, I have done none of my "other projects" (they'll wait), and my other "creative photography" interests have gone by the wayside....

Ok, I am having fun, spending a lot of time outside, getting some exercise, and taking pictures...I guess there really is no downside to getting new gear!

Here's a recent pic:

Oh, and just FYI..other than when I need the faster f-stop, I think the 50-500 is probably just as good and more versatile. (and at 500mm f/4.5 the DOF is painfully shallow)

Looks like you got a new "favorite" lens! I know what you mean, new gear is hard to put down.

I picked up a Sigma 28-90 Macro when Ritz was closing for $20. I'm real happy with the lens, and at only $20, I really couldn't go wrong.
