i was just curious what other people use to host their photos... i currently use SMUGMUG and i think there service is awesome from what i have seen. i would like to customize it further but im a complete rookie when its comes to writting css codes...
if you have a chance please visit my website at PHOTOHOLIKS and just tell me what you generally like or dont like or what i should work on... any help would be greatly appreciated... i would really like to further my knowledge in photography and really just over all marketing and displaying of photos in general.. thanks for all the help.. and feel free to post a link to you site (if you have one) and i shall return the favor... ![]() -Mark

Personally I dislike the size of the player. Sorry but it is too big I would prefer a lytebox for that.
Secondly the banner is too large in fact taking up half my screen before I get to see (what are some great) images.. Some of the Afghan ones are just great ! Also try to get a more cohesive look to it and then run through all you pics to get them in order to me the first page looked clutterd with allsorts fo stuff. try to have your page nice clean with hints (tasters if you like) of the Photo's inside grab their attention draw them in !! At the moment it made me want to walk away (no offence) just beacuse it was cluttered) FoG BTW there are some truly excellent pics in there

Like many folks on DPS I use Flickr.com for image hosting. For me it's the community that got me there, and it's also the excellent Application Programming Interface (API) that is very attractive to me. I'm a Python programmer, and writing some tools that interface with Flickr is very easy. For me this includes a program that resizes the image, adds a black border, adds the image title and copyright, and then uploads it to Flickr.

I personally liked your web site. I liked the way your name was BAM< right there in your face and stood out. Would make a person remember your name better than if it were smaller.
Wish I could offer you other suggestions but I am no computer wiz. I also use SmugMug and your set up is more advanced than mine. Maybe you could show me how you set up the links at the top??? I use Flickr for no other reason than as an online storage and for the html codes. I never direct any customers there.
