Any free program for batch edits?

Basically, I need something to do resizing for larger numbers of photos at once.

Can't seem to find a way to make GIMP do it, and don't have the money to
buy anything else.

Is there something you know that works?

IrfanView or XnView. I prefer IrfanView for batch processing, but XnView has a much nicer interface for everything else. Oh, there's always ImageMagick if you don't mind using the command line, or would prefer to use a batch script. Of course you can do that too with IrfanView (see the help file.)

Do you have Canon? If so you can do it with the software that came with the camera...

Try faststone image viewer (www.faststone.org) or pixresizer (bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm) - both are free and can do batch resizing.
