Default Hello- Introduction and questions

Hello All,

My name is Chris and I am a hobby-a-holic. I am returning to SLR after many years and new to DSLR using a Sony A-300. I enjoy shooting landscapes and candids of my boys, 7 & 9. I am new to Photoshop using the latest version of elements for Mac.

I dont yet have a Flickr, Photobucket, etc account yet, any ups downs preferences to any for posting and linking pictures?

I will also be in the market for improved lenses. The kit Sony 18-70 gets the job done but I would like to get more inventory, something faster, and wider. I picked up a Minolta 70-210 f4 and am pleased with some skiing and moto action I got as well as some flower shots I got. Looking for more bargain Minolta lenses as interim to higher quality unless advised against it.
Wish list?
Tamron 18-50 f2.8
Wide something 10 to...
Minolta 28-105 as cheapie kit lens replacement???

Sorry to ramble, but I thought Id throw it in my introductory post.

Well well, Welcome to DPS!!
I dont have answers for all your questions but will take a stab at a couple.
I personally like Flickr, The site allows you to choose the privacy level of your images and also will resize them for you to make posting easier. Tons of great groups on Flickr as well. There is a free account as well as a pro account that allows for unlimted image stoarge. For 20 some bucks ayear, it's worth it.
What i didnt like about Photobucket is they have a lil icon that they can sell your images. Not a big fan of someone making money off of me. Even if it is only a couple of bucks.

Make sure you read the rules that are posted at the top of each thread. Some sections require a bit more info to be posted with your images.
