I found out today that the 40s glam shoot I did a bit ago, they used some of my shots for a slide show at Marvel College for their graduation. ( they did the hair and make up ) The girls who did the work asked me for some prints for their portfolio. Not bad considering the shoot was just to see if I could do it.

Congrats!

Exposure is a great thing. I get most of my paid work from people seeing my free work floating around.

My work comes from referrals... But, I get paid first... then comes the referral

Most of my free stuff is when I have an idea for a shoot(Glam,Jazz etc.). Mostly because I have not done it yet, and i want to see if I can pull it off..... I would never want take a job that I feel I do it justice. I know I will never be as good as some, but I know I will be better than others.

Today I'm feeling good. I'm just taking my time and trying to do right. The head girl did ask me if I would come back and do again, I will for two reasons,well three. #1 more exposure, If I get good enough to shoot some fashion, well that pays really good. #2 make friends with people who do makeup ( to hire a good person is not cheap)
#3 well it's a lot fun. but today I feel good.
