Pencil and paper.

Start drawing. Even fi you cant draw, it doesnt matter. its MUCH easier to brainstorm by hand than it is on a computer. Once youve got an idea or two you like, then scan them and flesh them out. Then get people to give you some feedback. Then get more people to do the same. Then more people, etc.

With that in mind, refocus or alter the logo.

What exactly did you have in mind? Ive got some time tomorrow (im working and it'll be quiet) so I might be able to bang some stuff out

If you get an axe and chop a tree down you should be able to get a log.

When thinking about a Logo, you need to consider what it will be used for. Is it just for Business Cards/Letterhead or will it be incorporated into a website. Search the net for idea's, and you will also find heaps of sites that cover creating the logo using software.

My husband has the artistic hand in this family, not so much me - I'm feeling pretty artistically drained right now - i think it's the weather.

I'm looking for something pretty, kinda girly and kiddish all in one - not really sure if that's possible, but it's an idea.... I really like pink, baby blue, purple and black - silver too. I like smooth lines. Although if you see something in your head that says "FG Photography" nicely, feel free to run with your artistic inspiration.

I'd appreciate it if you could 'bang some stuff out'

*Followed OsomosisStudio's post*

I want to use it for my website and the 'branding' of my pictures... eventually for advertising as well.... so yeah, kinda an all in one thing...

*goes to chop down a tree for the fun of it * :P

Thank you both!

I'm not sure how original or obvious this is. As soon as I read your post, and that I saw your name was Fawn, the silhouette of a fawn popped in my head. "FG Photography' in text somewhere in there, too.

Oddly enough it's not as obvious as you'd think... neat idea, thank you... *goes to ponder this*

Just two lines in WordPad and a quick 'MS Paint' job.

However, the best way to create a logo is to use a Vector drawing program such as Corel Draw.

f = lower case in Smudger LET font 72 pt
G = Upper case in Scruff LET font 72 pt
Photography = In Segoe Script font 11 pt

If you don't have these fonts, try google free versions (e.g., http://www.jabroo.com/fonts/S/)
