Hey everyone,

My name is Rhiannon, and I'm from Alberta, Canada (Edmonton to be specific). I am a mother of one little guy, Logan (18 months) - who is the focus of most of my pictures right now and have been married to my husband for over 2 years now (we've been together for 10). I love photography, but only recently purchased a Canon 400D. I'm learning lots from this site (and a lot from trial and error too) and am just doing this as a hobby for now. I mostly read what everyone else is posting (usually because they have the same questions as me), but I try to post when I can.

Looking forward from learning from all of you!
Rhiannon

Hi I'm Jennifer. I love to take pictures and recently talked my hubby into letting me buy a more professional camera than the point and shoot that we have. I eventually want to get into professional photograhy but i know that is a while off. I would LOVE any advice on what camera I should buy.

Hi Jennifer! If you want advice on buying a camera, you will get tons of opinions here! Try posting this question in General Chit-Chat where everyone will see it, along with some of your opinions and the type of things you like to shoot and I guarantee you will get answers!

Sime, Baltimore is best described as a big town, small city. The roots of this city were blue collar working class. The first waves of immigrants have been replaced by a new wave, just as hard working. There are great parts of my city and terrible parts that are plagued by crime and murder - and no one has the answer on how to solve those problems. It's my hometown, so I'm stubbornly proud of it, especially Little Italy, where my family's roots are very deep.

So many places to visit... so, now all I know about Baltimore is what you've just told me and what Counting Crows sing about it... look forward to seeing some photos of little italy.

Hello DPSers! My name is Adrienne and I have been perusing DPS for a few months now... finally decided to jump into the forums. I'm looking forward to sharing knowledge with all of you!

Currently loving my Nikon D40, a few years ago I got a film Minolta Maxxum5 as my first SLR (little sis is the proud owner of that one now). I mostly photograph the two loves of my life... the husband and the cat. I've posted a few photos on Flickr (actually only one of the husband and cat). Check them out and let me know what you think!

Hi: My name is Scott and I live in Ottawa, Canada with my wife and daughter. You can probably guess where I am originally from. I am new to photography. I have had a Canon A80 for a while but have long been interested in getting more out of my pictures. So I purchased a Canon S5 IS just the other day. I'm very excited to get started.
