Hi... My name is Wayne and I live with my wife and child in Oak Harbor WA. I have always been interested in photography but have never really gotten too involved with it until recently when my wife bought me the Nikon D3000 I have been drooling over. I have been working on landscape photography and getting the shutter speed down for water shots and now I'm leaning towards learning how to use the ISO properly for night shots.

hi, new here!

my name is jessica. i'm a stay-at-home-mom of 3. digital photography is just one of my many interests. i have been using a fujifilm finepix s700 for the past 2 yrs, but i am in the market for my first dslr as soon as i get my tax return! (yay!) i used to have my camera permanently attached to the end of my arm, although since my youngest son was born, i'm embarrassed to admit that i fell out of the habit of taking pictures. (the worst time, right?!?!) i am happy to report though, that i've been getting back into the habit, and hope to learn a lot here. i'm too busy and broke for proper photography courses, so i spend a lot of time reading up online. i also love photo editing and image manipulation. i used to be a big photoshop fan, until i grew a conscience about illegal software. i've recently started fiddling with GIMP and am pleased with it thus far.

ANYWAYS, that's me. glad to be here!

Default my name is rebecca

I live down south and photography is a hobby that i really enjoy. I enjoy the forums and study the tips that everyone has. i mostly take nature photographs and critters when i can catch sight of them. i enjoy macro photography as well. i own a canon 50d and want to invest in the new nikon. i am working on a flickr page but it is not completed as of yet. will post a link to it when it is done if anyone is interested in seeing my photos. some came out good and others did not. still learning with my camera and trying new things with it such as adding an infrared filter to my filter list. any ideas and suggestions and comments are welcome.

Hello!!
My name is Michele Parent, I newly moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm 28, and I'm a license hairstylist and makeup artist, I come from professional live theatre (head of wardrobe/ costume designer) and I also do work as graphic design, wedding book design and photography. I'm an artist and designer at heart and use photography as one of my means of expression.

I've been in love with photography for about 12 years now, but could only afford my first camera about 4 years ago. I've started with film, then purchased a fujifilm finepix s5100, it trained me to use manual, digital and photoshop, then 2 year after and over 12 000 pictures, I bought my Canon EOS rebel xsi, love it so far till i can invest in slightly better. I'm also a very passionate Photoshop CS3 fan!!!

I'm very thankful for all the employment I have had in my life, they made me a better and well rounded photographer. with and eye for styling hair and makeup, i also make most of the costumes and hats I use. I love building a creating concepts for backgrounds. And my partner is a theatre lighting designer on the side, so I have had the "lighting talk"..lol I love to spend too much money on Ebay on props and love to come up with little story boards to make my clients feel more comfortable playing a role instead of hiding behind there insecurities. My guilty pleasure is macro photography, it's so simple, i rarely ever edit the pictures but it can have such an impact.

There you go, that's pretty much all I am!!!

Hi Everyone. My name is Nick White. I am 57 (going on 25) and have a renewed interest in photography since I obtained my DSLR about 3 years ago. I run a Nikon D50 (old but still darn good), but instead of upgrading the body, I bought the 18-200 VR zoom lens, so principally I don't have to keep changing lenses. That has done more for me than changing the body. I would say that I am only learning my skills, but seem to get a few nice comments, so must be beginning to get something right.
Joining DPS will hopefully join me up with some real enthusiasts as well as give me a chance to learn more. (want to start studio or portrait stuff - scary)
I have a Flickr page at Flickr: Nick'n'Vick'n'Jas' Photostream and I would love to hear comments on the sort of thing I have taken.
Oh, by the way, I am in Felixstowe UK, married to Vickie and have a step daughter Jasmine who is 15.
That;s it for now.

Hello my name is Jesse and I'm currently residing in Honolulu and have known DPS for quite sometimes now and had been reading and viewing the post and contents from this site all around and it is no doubt one of the best site out there. I'm here to learn more from you guys and maybe one day will have the guts to post my images and get some feed back.
