Hi my name is Chris, live in Swindon in the UK. I have wanted to get into photography for quite a while now and when my wife told me she was pregnant I thought this was the perfect time.
I own a couple of point and shoots but have just ‘spoilt’ myself with a Sony a330 DSLR for my birthday. I’ve gone out with it a couple of times now, once to St Albans cathedral (as I was up there for a course) and last night we went to a local fireworks display to see what I could do (pics to come later). I’m just hoping to get some easy to follow technical help from this site and a place to share my pics with like minded people. |

Hello, My name is Kristina. I live in central Ohio and started to take an interest in photography at the age of 16. I attended school at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh but didn't really start 'doing' anything in photography until 3 years ago. Now I have a small business taking hs senior portraits and I also dabble with band images.
I'm excited to be part of this talented group and really enjoy viewing so many wonderful images. All of you are inspiring me to push myself further.

I'm Kate, I got my first dslr in May, before that I was using digital point and shoots and disposables. I've only been really taking pictures since mid 2004. My new camera is a D90. I take pictures of just about everything. I don't know if I really have a goal with photography other than to have things to look at if that makes sense. I'm a general maker of stuff and have been drawing and painting since I was a kid. This is a pretty natural extension of that I guess. I just like knowing as much as possible about things I like to do.

Hi, I'm Heather from the Midlands (UK) I got a Fujifilm S5700 as a present last Christmas and the only reason I wanted it was mainly for the zoom to use at gigs. I continued to use it casually and finally got interested in Photography late this summer. Now I'm saving up for a dslr and have a really keen interest in photography. I guess my ultimate goal is to capture shots that evoke emotion, the kind of shots that people want to look at over and over again. I'm still learning the basics of the technical side but I believe I have a good eye and a nack for finding interesting shots in ordinary settings.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and picking up some tips and techniques.

Greetings
I'm a self confessed amateur from the United Kingdom. I've not long had my Nikon D90 so hoping to absorb some expertise by surrounding myself with experts...that means you ![]() Thanks
