Default Hello!

Hi,

My name is Suzanne and I'm from Northern California (S.F. Bay Area). I've always been interested in photography but only in the past year got the confidence to just start getting out and shooting. I bought my first DSLR a few months ago and would like to start selling my photography. I'm not quite there yet but am taking photos almost every day, there's an amazing amount to learn. I'm happy to have joined this site and hope to learn a ton from all of the salty old pros here!

Suzanne

Hello everybody. I'm John, I'm 22 and I live in the UK at the moment but am moving to the US in a matter of weeks. I'm new to photography. Really enjoy photography, i don't have a decent camera (only a point and shoot job) but i know its not the camera that makes a photo good Hope to get to know a few people and get a little feedback (and give some out too ??) on my photos.

Hi sabreenah. Welcome to the forum and enjoy yourself here. You will learn so much. Yes the D90 is a great camera, but the most important bit of any camera is that part that stands a few centimetres behind it!!! Look forward to seeing some of your shots. PAUL

Default Greetings

Hey there!
I am Jeffrey Wilkins go by the handle ConceptPhotos. I have had a camera in my hands for 26 years and counting. First slr was a Canon AE1 but used my big sisters Olympus OMPC before that. Had a Canon 10S with a hand full of consumer lenses. For several years shot with company cameras, EOS 1, 20D, 5D and 1D.
In July I decided to leave the 9-5 world and pursue professional photography on my own. I am a firm believer that there is always more to learn and that is what brought me here. I recently purchased a complete new kit: 50D, 17-40 F4, 70-200 F4 IS, 430EXII and a hand full of other goodies, added to the mix my faithful 50 1.8. Within two months I needed a 1TB drive as I had already overwhelmed the 320gig drive on my laptop. So far I am still in the early stages but having loads of fun.

Default Hey All

I'm Christopher. I'm obviously new. I found this site on another forum and even bookmarked a couple articles, but never looked at the forum here until today.

I'm from California, but was a military brat, so I've more than a few places; even more since joining the military myself. I currently live in Germany with my wife and our crazy dog.

I've always taken pictures and snapshot over the years, but I never was much interested in "Phototagraphy". That is, trying to say something with the photos that I took. And I went on like that until the wife and I took a trip to London last year. I got bit by the shutterbug and that was such a fantastic trip that I wanted to learn how to preserve future vacations with quality pictures.

I started with a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W200 and quickly moved on to Pentax K200D and then a K10D. And I haven't looked back since. Even my guitars are gathering dust right now!

I think that this just might be what I've been looking for as far as learning goes. You can only read so many books or magazines and finding a professionally taught class in Germany for english speakers is tough.

So yeah, I look forward to learning a lot more and having some fun.
