Hello,

It's my first post in here, so I would like to say great HELLO to everyone here.

My name is Michal, nickname Djinn, I'm from Krakow in Poland.

I'm looking at this forum for a couple of months, and I find it very useful, especially in some creative projects (light painting, moon photos etc ...).

I'll try to share my photos, project and ideas with you. If I learn something from here, I would like to help someone else.

I'm interested in photography for many years, but since I bought DSLR (EOS 40D) few months ago I find out, that there is a looooong way to do what I want to

Couple of my photos you might find in my Picassa album here:

Picasa Web Albums - Michal M. (Djinn)

It's all in Polish, but photos don't bother the language.
So it's all about me, more you will find during my presence here.

Djinn

Thumbs up

Hi everyone,

Chris from Kyneton in central Victoria, Australia.
Haven't done any photography for many years apart from the usual point & shoot type of thing.
Recently bought a 2nd hand Fuji Finepix S9500 to take on a sightseeing trip to Canada and Alaska in 2010. I am on a steep learning curve, hence my joining this online community where I can tap into a wealth of knowledge.
I have a good few months to learn about the controls of my camera, and gain some insights on how best to photograph the sights on what will be the trip of a lifetime.

Cheers
Chris

I'm Jenny. I've been carrying my camera with me everywhere for over 20 years - in that time I've taken tens of thousands of shots - but have only a handful I'd consider good. I'd like to become better. I began reading here over a year ago, and decided to begin participating about a month ago. I love seeing what I can learn from beginners and old hands alike!

Red face Howdy

Craig here. I've been getting tips and ideas from the RSS feeds for quite sometime and decided to take the step to register and become a lil more active.

I'm from southern California near disneyland. I enjoy photography and did it mainly as a hobby for many years. Currently I use a Nikon D70 with only one 18-70mm lens. I'll be getting new/more equipment when I can justify it.

I'm a graphic designer at heart and find that when I offer those services I also have people asking for photography services as well so I have been doing both more and more.

I enjoy forum communities and I hope to eventually give back as much as I've gained from this site and it's awesome content.

Hey that was my first kit. I still use the 18-70 from time to time. I would go for glass first then get a new body when you wear that one out. That's what I did.
