Hi everyone!

I'm new to the site and look forward to learning lots from you all! I am relatively new to digital photography but love it. I want to improve my techniques, become more creative, etc.

I've just started up a photography blog this morning where I hope to show my progression from beginner to more experienced photographer. So far I just have a welcome message, but plan on posting some pics real soon (maybe later today). Not sure if I'm allowed to post the link for it, but I will and if the moderators need to remove it, that is fine.

Hope you'll stop by some time, and I hope to get to know many photographers on here

Hey all, I'm Adam from Illinois in the US and I've been a member here for a while now but I've just been lurking, picking up tidbits here and there. All I have right now camera-wise is an Olympus FE-370 due to the fact that I have NO MONEY. Hopefully at some point in the (not too distant) future when I can afford it I'll pick up a DSLR, but for now, the point and shoot does me fine.

hi guys. i'm regina (or you can call me reggie) for short. i'm a female, from manila, philippines. i'm a physician. i love to travel and take different pictures. i wanted to do photography as a hobby, something that's not entirely related with my work but still fun to do. i just started to learn basic digital photography 3 weeks ago using a point-and-shoot camera (kodak easy share). yesterday, i received a canon eos 1000d as a birthday present and i'm enjoying while learning how to take nice shots.

Hello... what a wonderful site! Can't wait to dive into all the topics that are being discussed... I've had a love for photography since my late teens (that seems like such a long time ago ) Using what ever camera my mom had around... I remember MY very first camera... a 35mm olympus... bought it when my daughter was born and I was hooked! When that camera died on me I got the regular point a shoot digital cameras, but needed a challenge...so my wonderful better half bought me a Canon EOS Rebel K2 35mm. I now have a Canon EOS XT (needed a digital... tired of scanning everything ) and it's been a blast "trying" to learn all I can (especially with a very active 3 year old boy on my heels). Looking forward to all this site has to offer!

My name is Sara and I live in Northern Arizona with my wonderful husband and two teenage kids. My son Christopher is 17 and is a senior in high school this year. He is very artistic in many ways and is currently in the Yearbook class and a broadcasting class for his school. My daughter Nicole is a special needs child with a rare syndrome called Aicardi Syndrome. She is our angel straight from heaven and although she is dependent on us for everything she is such a blessing to our family.

I have always liked taking pictures but never really been interested in photography until recently. I am so glad that I have found this forum and I have learned so much already! I can't wait to learn more. I am proud to say that my first post was entering a photo for the Weekly Assignment "School Days".

My name is Martha and I live in New Hartford, Connecticut. I am a stay-at-home mom and a part-time copy editor. I used to love taking pictures, but when I had children I stopped. Last year, I picked up a camera again to do a yearbook for my daughter's preschool class, and that, combined with encouragement from a photographer I work with, inspired me to start taking pictures for fun again. I stumbled across this site last night, and it looks fabulous. Everyone is so talented, I can't wait to see more.
