Hi everyone.

My name's Mike and I live in Oxford, Pennsylvania. I'm married to a wonderful woman and have a two year old who amazes me every day. I got into photography a couple of years ago with a Kodak point and shoot. I was amazed at the pics I could get with such a simple camera.

I've recently upgraded to a Sonny a300 and am loving the better resolution and creative control I now have. I usually photograph landscapes and nature scenes, especialy, flower close-ups. A friend and I are planning on starting a photography business later down the road. We've already shot a couple of weddings and other gigs.

I've joined here to meet other photographers and to lean more and improve on my skills.

Default coming back

Hi I'm Tesh, I joined quite a while ago and haven't been on in ages. I got my photography interest from my dad who has enjoyed the hobby for many years. He even had his own darkroom years ago! I purchased a Cannon Rebel XTi a few years back. I am a contributing member of istockphoto.com. I haven't been shooting much lately but I want to get back at it. I like checking out other peoples work and would like to share some of my own.

Default Quick intro

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and would like to introduce myself. Here I go by name Photon but my real name is Kari Selovuo. I live in southern Finland and hate the cold and dark winters.

I have only recently started to take a bit more serious attitude towards photography. I'm willing to learn and I hope I can get some feedback about my photos. More about me and some of my photos you can find on my site Kari Selovuo :: Home

Hello,

My name is Andrew, I'm retired from Los Angeles currently living in Salem Illinois which is halfway between been there and nowhere. I first got interested in photography when my older brother gave me a Petriflex 7. Since then I've gone thru Pentax's, Konica's then a Nikon which kept me going until someone borrowed it. I then bought a Minolta until I finally caved in and recently purchased a Sony a350 and a whole new learning experience opened up. I found this site and was amazed at the quality of photographers so I joined hoping to learn all the how to's.

Default Howdy

My name is Hank. I live in New York, just outside of the City. I've been interested in photography since high school where I came early to develop my hand-rolled B&W film, and then went through the day smelling like developer solution (I was really popular).

I still use two Nikon film cameras, an F4 and an F2. For digital I use a Casio Exilim point-and-shoot I got because of its low shutter lag. I've started saving for a digital SLR, and for Aperture on my Mac...I'm still on iPhoto.

Default The Northern Claw of the Crab

Just found this site today and spent quite a bit of time looking over the Photoshop tutorials.
They are good! I've been a Photoshop user since V3, and tend to forget half the new stuff although I'm currently using CS3
I have a 20D, 18-250 Tamron, 28-75 2.4 Tamron, 80- 400 Tokina. I use extension tubes and a telextender. I also have an FZ8 Panasonic. I have mostly the smaller, lighter lenses and we have a 1500 Kawasaki Nomad and it's too hard to pack much stuff. Even using my truck, there still isn't too much room.
I'm also an amateur astronomer, so if we head for dark skies, a telescope goes, too.
We have a house full of pets - cats, cockatiels, and ferrets.
I do have a blog, and a flickr album
I mostly take pictures for my own enjoyment. I do want to do the best I can with them, though. After all the years of using a film SLR, and now the digital, some stuff is finally soaking in.
