Hello, I'm Ricky. I've been reading and learning from this site for a long time now, and it's about time I signed up! I've been shooting with a Nikon D40 over 2-3 years now and hopefully I'll eventually upgrade that.
Hope to learn more from this excellent forum, Ricky PS, I just set up my flickr, the link is in my signature

I'm Sarah. I got my first digital camera in 2006 (Kodak). After I got used to that, I got a Fujifilm S1000. I just recently learned to how use it better while I was in Europe, so now it feels like a new camera. I've only been taking pictures for 3 years, and I used to only take pictures of bands (when I went to concerts). But since this new camera, I take pictures of everything.
So, that's me! P.S. My favorite photographer is Jeremy Cowart. He takes pictures of some of my favorite Christian singers and bands.

I think this is a great and useful site and I am so happy I found it.
I am 27 years old, live in eastern Canada. I have been taking photos for about 7 years, first with a film SLR and now with a DSLR. There was a bit of a gap there when I lost touch with it but am so eager and excited now to be back into it. |

Hi I'm Wendy...I've been interested in photography forever but never had the nerve to attempt it. I did briefly in the 80s before digital and I was young and thought it was too hard and too expensive to get all that underexposed film developed.
I'm older now and we live in a digital world and I'm determined to stick with it and not be intimidated by things I don't know! I love this site and am following you on Twitter. I look forward to poking, lurking and posting around DPS more. Wendy |

Hi, my name is Kate, I live in Healesville, Vic, Australia and was given a Canon 450D earlier this year. I've never really understood SLR stuff before so it's all a new adventure. I did a Fireworks stages I and II course last year which got me interested in digital manipulation and we have CS2 on our computer so I'm starting to play around with that. I've only used the camera on automatic settings so far, but am determined to start learning about manual settings this weekend. My three boys are all into sport (Aussie Rules, Cricket, BMX Racing) so action photography is high on my learn to do list. If my hubby is lucky he may even get to use the camera one day soon.......If he behaves himself that is.......
One thing I need to find out about is Flickr......what is it? Do we need to have it to use this site? We have an AppleMac so I have been using iPhoto for all my stuff so far. I'll have a look around the site and I may find the answer.... Thanks! Kate |

Hey everyone!
My name is Tanner, I'm from Utah and love photography. Just two days ago I picked up my first DSLR (Nikon D40), which is why I've just recently joined the forums. I work as a VP of online business for a local business, but have worked for a lot of great companies...including HP (Hewlett-Packard) where I got my start in digital photography because the company gave us all free cameras (back when they made cameras anyway). Excited to be here, everyone seems very knowledgeable and willing to share what they know, so it should be fun.
