I'm Dustin, a hobbyist from the Philippines. Not yet that good but I am learning everyday. Well, we all are.
Currently I have two cameras, a Sony H7 and a Canon 450D.
Hope to be friends with all of you here.

Hello people!
My name is Dexter, a filipino but now living in Sydney Australia. I recently got myself a Nikon D90 because I wanted to shoot photos of my band, gear, and concerts I usually go to, but since then this camera has spoken to me and I am now interested in all sorts of images. Just this morning, i got up early, drove to Coogee beach, patiently suffered cold temperatures to shoot a sunrise, but it wasnt as easy as i expected: the more the sun went up, the darker my photos were. So when i got home I browsed the net and it led me to this site.. so hello! hope to share some question and answers(but more of questions) to fellow photographers out there.
cheers!
Dexter

Hi! My name is Teri. I've always enjoyed indulging my creative side, whatever the medium. However, I'm just really starting to explore photography as a serious hobby. I purchased my first digital camera (Canon S5) when my son's high school marching band was selected to participate in the 2007 Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. Since then, I've been hooked!

I started out just taking photos on auto settings for use in the band's website (www.pldband.org). Last year the band's official photographer (another parent who is also a professional photographer) asked if I would take over as her child had graduated. Needless to say I'm a little nervous, but willing to give it a go!

I'm very impressed with DPS so far and have already picked up quite a few pointers. Since marching band shows run 14 mins from announcement of "now entering..." until the band exits the field, setup / timing of action shots is going to be my main focus this year. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Default I've got the Photog bug!!

I took photography classes in HS and had the good fortune to have a great teacher. Not only did I attend his classes but I was his aid and I went in before and after school. I took a course in college but it all ended there. Life got in the way and my former friend stole my gear and sold it for drug money. 15 years later... My brother-in-law asked me to shoot his wedding. I bought a Canon Xsi and some other accouterments and have been studying up every day for the big day. DPS has been a great source of info for me.

Hello all

My name is connie I live in scotland married with 2 children. I volunteer for the cats protection as admissions officer for the branch and a foster mum for needy cats/kits. I have always enjoyed photography and many moons ago played around with an olympus slr, but never moved forward with it. My experience to date has been point and click "cheese" lol

I now own a Fuji S8000 it does not have interchangeable lenses etc but it is more than sufficient for a complete beginner to be getting on with. The auto option has been my best friend but I have found myself wanting more.

Hello, my name is Lorna and have been into Photography now for a couple of years. I had a bad car accident a couple of years ago and while recuperating my hubby gave me a Sony point and shoot camera to help occupy my days when I could not do other things. It worked and I got bit by the Photo Bug. I went out this year and bought myself a Nikon D80 with a macro and a telephoto lens and am hooked.
I found this site on someone elses blog list. I hope to learn a lot more from here. I am eternally curious!!

Hi,
I'm Rachael, I've been into photography for quite a few years now. Just as a hobby although I am looking at getting better and perhaps turning it in to something more.
I primarily shoot with an Olympus E410 but am looking to invest in either a Nikon or Canon as I want to start growing my collection of lenses.

I'm based in South Wales and look forward to participating in the forum...
