Don't think I introduced myself yet. Name is charlotte...I live in Georgia, USA. Just started back into Photography about 4 months ago. Digital is wonderful compared to the film days. So much more immediate...you can correct it right away instead of waiting for the lab to process or worse--that i would wind the film wrong on the reel
Anyway i am looking forward to meeting you all and learning more about this wonderful hobby.

My name is Andrew and I live in MI. I am pretty much just beginning this stuff and have no idea what I am doing yet. I have a digital rebel XSi and two lenses for it (I think they are 15-30 and 30-200 or something like that). I am most interested in landscapes and motion blur effects, but someday when I get better I would like to get into portraits and such.

Hi, my name is Celia, I am 50 years old. Photography is just a hobby I have been in to about 4 to 5 years. I used a simple Kodak 5.0 for the longest and made a lot of great photos.
I don't have an expensive camera, I have the Fuji 1000S. It has some setting for photos I would like to take, but I don't understand a lot about them. I could use some feedback.
I want to make sport, rodeo, action shots and they are terrible once I have made them.

Hi,
I have been interested in photography for many years and finally picked up a Rebel XTI 2 yrs ago and have been having a blast with it. I do not get out and shoot as often as I would like, the case with most people I'm sure. I enjoy nature and anything having to do with it. I have done some portraits and family photo shoots with good results and am always looking to improve and expand my knowledge of photography. I happened along this site about 1 year ago, but never came to the forum section til reading their was a nude section. I know, it looks bad I have always wanted to get into shooting nudes, just never had the opportunity to do some and figured I could get some tips etc from that section. With that said, I am glad to see that it is off limits to anyone joining and that there will be a 50 post requisite prior to having access.

Hi All,
I first studied photography 30+ years ago at school, where I played with a Canon ftb SLR, and learned not only about photography, exposure, and composition, but also developing and printing. I kitted myself out with a Praktica MTL3 (not as nice as the Canon - but I had a limited budget), and gradually added lenses, filters, a decent flash, extension rings and convertor, and then darkroom equipment too. However, with family life, it became less practical to pursue, and was replaced with a series of P&S cameras, and then digital P&S.
My daughter re-kindled my love of photography when she got a D40x a couple of years back. Although she lives in Canada at the moment, she is sending the camera back home with me after we visit her in a couple of months, so I'll have a few months that I can 'borrow' it. I'd love eventually to save enough money to get one myself - maybe as a retirement gift to myself (only 20 years to go). I've got a few photos on microstock sites, but I don't think I'm going to make my fortune that way!!

Hey everyone... I'm currently going to school/ living in St. Pete, FL but I am originally from Buffalo, NY. Ive been into photography for about 2 years and just recently got my first dSLR and being a college student not much else to go with it lol. But I am very interested in sports photography, especially the more extreme ones, but for the most part I'll take a picture of anything. I look forward to sharing my shots with you.

Right, well, already introduced myself in one post, with pictures and all, might as well do it here. My name is Floris, 18 years old, reside in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I joined this site to learn, but also to share my own photographs and so on. Own a 450D + kit lens, looking to get 17-85 and 70-300.

I'm mostly into photographing people, but also objects and nature. My 18-55mm limits my creativity largely though.

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am just beginning to start really getting into photography. I have always had an interest, but now, finally, can get started. I have a Canon XSi and usually use my 1.8 50mm lens. I am sure that I will learn a lot from you all and I can't wait to get some great feedback!
