Hello there. My name is Deanna, I'm from Perth in Australia. I've only recently started taking photography kind of seriously so I'm loving DPS - it's teaching me lots of good stuff. I have a Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS which takes ok pictures but chews through batteries like no one's business. I'm working towards having a DSLR to call my own, but in the meantime I borrow my stepdad's Nikon D70 and my friend's Canon EOS 400D whenever I can! I'm looking forward to learning from you all.

Hi, I'm Lois Nicholson from Canada. I've gotten into digital photography in the last 5 years I guess but seriously in the last year. I love it, its my passion. I basicly go nowhere with out my camera. I have done some shots for people but really nothing paying YET. I've taken a couple of courses on line, one I loved, the other eaa...............but I think my pictures have improved greatly.

Hi
I'm Sandra Have had an interest in photography for awhile. A course has just started in the small town where I live - the teacher is an accredited judge, I haven't picked up a camera since I started just don't even have the confidence to try anymore. In the 4 weeks since I started we have jumped from composition to making black and white in photo shop. Have discovered I am a 'capture the moment' and not after perfection. Really tempted to shelve the interest. |

Sandra again
By the way I do wildlife care so love to take photos of my wombats and kangaroos as they grow up. Obviously Australian. s “There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before.” Robert Lynd 1879-1949. So, my name is Bryone (pronounced "Brian"...yeah, dont ask) and I am from Texas. I have been interested in photography since highschool (in my 30's now), but I never knew where to begin.
Three years ago, I borrowed a Canon 350D (RebelXT) from a friend when my daughter was born, and I've been hooked ever since. I mostly shoot for love, but I've earned a little here and there to "feed the need." (I'm that guy your friend tells you about when you ask if they know anyone who can "shoot my wedding"... eh... it buys the toys, you know? )I currently shoot a Canon 400D and mostly rock my new favorite lens, the EF 50mm F1.8. I've been reading and learning from this site for about a year and I finally decided to join up. |

Hello All,
I'm Tony in Florida. I never showed much interest in photography until I purchased my Kodak z650. Once I realized what a difference a decent camera could make I was hooked. I just got into the dSLR with the Canon deal on the XT. No way to turn back now. I've been perusing this site for quite sometime and learned a great deal. The amount of knowledge shared here is overwhelming, I thank all for sharing. Regards tMelo |

Hi everyone.
I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ria and I currently live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I bought my Canon DSLR a few months ago but I haven't really found a group to shoot with. I've been looking for a photography school here in KL but no such luck. So, I'm really looking forward to this group so I can meet and learn from you guys. Now, I just need to figure out what to do next. All the best. Ria |

Hello to all... I'm Angel Mayorga, AKA Mr. A, my middle school students made it up. Anyhow bought a Canon Rebel XT 3 years ago, and let me tell you, I don't know what I was thinking. I have bought so many books from Understanding Aperture, Shutter Speeds, ISO, and much more. It's coming around slowly but I still haven't been able to walk into a moment and be able to tell myself okay, this is what my settings should be at push the button and perfecto there it is.. some are blurry, some are nice.. Found out about DPS from my sister who just bought herself a Sony DSLR. I'm shooting cousin's wedding Dec. 4 so I'm a bit nervous. I want to woo them but told them not to expect professional level photos...they are totally okay with it. So I guess this should be a blast.... thanks for having such a wonderful site for us newbies to turn to..
