Greetings all!

My name is Tom. I'm 46 and live in Upstate South Carolina USA. I'm a musician and school administrator, and photography has been a hobby for many, many years.

As for equipment, I have a couple of very old Nikon SLRS, I have a Nikon N60 35mm, a several point-n-shoot digitals, and a Nikon D50.

Hi everybody !

My name is Krimo, I am 20, I live in France, and photography has always been a hobby. Though since I am a student, I don't really have the means to sate this addiction ! But hopefully by the end of the year I will get a reflex, and start shooting often.

See you around.

Good morning. I am Patty and currently reside in the mountains of SW Virginia. I have had a digital camera for several years and enjoy photgraphing the local scenery as well as family gatherings. For family and friend gatherings I like to make slide shows that people can view on their DVD players. For my scenery photos I have been making greeting cards for personal use, they have been well received. Some of my favorite pics have been shot from my own yard. I am using the Kodak z740.

Good day! my name is Deck, Im from the Philippines and I just got into photography a few months ago, my current gear is a canon sd550 p&s camera. I have been reading up on DPS for a while now and it has helped me a lot in terms of understanding some finer details in photography. Its a learning process and I hope I can improve and maybe give assistance in this forum

Hey,

My name is Mike, a second-year law student from Buffalo, NY. I've been into photography since, well, pretty far back, but I only started learning how to do it seriously in the last 2 or 3 years. I wish I had some high-tech equipment, but the funding's a little low right now, so I'm sticking with my Kodak c340 and Photoshop Elements 4. Maybe in a couple of years I'll move on to a mid-range camera, but I think I'll need a job first.

When I'm not taking pictures, you can usually find me in my office at school, handing out Divine Retribution to undergrads who can't seem to stop getting in trouble.

Thumbs up

Wow! After reading through the introductions to date, I feel as if I have been on a round-the-world tour. I'm Nancy, and live on the Westcoast of British Columbia. I'm another beginner. I've been working with my CoolPix4800 for about 12 months. I'm itching to buy a DSLR, but am determined to learn to use all the features on my sweet point-and-shoot before moving up. However, Santa has been approached. You can visit my photo sets at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nancys_pics/

Hi, my name is Eugene and I'm a 28 year old male from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I'm still playing around with photography and haven't gotten round to purchase a decent SLR camera. Just fooling around with my point and shoot, but I love photography. Thanks Darren for such a cool site.

Hello All,
I'm Sue from Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia (Canada.) I have been taking photographs for many years although off and on when I was using film. I started digitally about 7 years ago with a Toshiba and somehow got used to just taking snapshots, that changed when I bought my D70 and as I'm a semi-retired SAHM (2 finished university and 1 to go) I have plenty of time to pursue my passions.

I hope I can help others learn some new tricks and learn some new ones myself.
