Default Please make me an "Idea Generator"

Hi

Does anybody know if there are any photographic idea/theme generators out there? I would love to start the day by recieving a random idea and shoot pictures accordingly.

If not, it's a great idea for you heavy-duty programmers

Well I wouldn't mind coming up with a system to randomly generate and send out messages to subscribed photographers (nothing heavy-duty, really), but the most import thing is the ideas themselves.

Neat idea. I would totally make one if my "things to code" list wasn't so long already!

Not exactly as easy as what you're looking for, but check out this new article on the blog here at DPS:

Whenever you think of ideas, write them down on a scrap of paper. Then, put each paper into a box. All you have to do when you need an idea is to pull out a piece of paper and shoot whatever it says. if you want to be adventurous, take two pieces and combine them.

For example:

Shoot at your widest focal length.
Shoot only looking down on the subject.
Shoot people's hands.
Shoot photos that are abstracts with lots of colour.
Shoot photos of vertical lines.

And so on.

Sometimes, to get ideas or inspiration, I just do a google search on images and just see what types of photos other people do, and see what grabs me at the time. Sometimes I happen upon an inventive alternative technique to try, as well.
