Aurorae possible tonight

Just wanted to post a little heads up. There was a big coronal mass ejection Tuesday morning (in the U.S. anyway), so there are better chances of aurorae in lower-than-normal latitudes. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled.

I'd rather the clouds than the downfalls we're having here the past few days. Two hundred millimetres in twenty four hours. The ranges behind us had over 313mm. It's a huge lake around our village with many roads closed. I spent the morning with a shovel trying to save our long steep driveway - to no avail. Damn if it doesn't rain this time of year it floods!

EDIT - I typed inches instead of millimetres and we've had the metric system for eons now - duh!

LOL Doug lucky this sort of weather is usually a once a year thing - rarely twice. But I know I'd like to move out of this house!

You mean the coronal mass ejection was only in the US? Damn...

Typical.. I've been in Canada for the past two weeks.. Might have had a chance of seeing something there.. None here.. Grey skies and snow..

You mean a lot of coroners all ejected at the same time? What was it, the medicos convention?

Did they do it in public? and whats the weather got to do with that? Was it too cold for them?
