Default SYD - Share Your Dinner

Just to be clear, this ISN'T a share your shot image!!! It's a share my dinner .. experiment.. fail thing. Besides, it's a snap not a "photograph".

Obviously living on my own now, I get to experiment a bit in the kitchen when I'm in the mood. And tonight I made this:

Dinner Experiment

Oh, I should point out I don't eat veg and hate "bits" in my food like those green bits. If you don't know how fussy I am, I guess it loses 90% impact :P

I don't mind telling you, it was disgusting and it was thrown in the bin, failing graciously aside to the humble bacon sandwich.

Man win!

Oh, while I have the attention of the woman - and maybe men? - anyone know what this is on my washing machine. It's like a horizontal black diabolo looking icon. I've worked out the procedure is Start - > wash -> black thing -> spin -> End. I was thinking maybe it means rinse? But all the water just sat there down nothing.

Any ideas?

I think it's connected with the prewash setting, if you put a prewash cycle on, once it's finished the dial stops on that symbol (Sometimes called the Advance Programme symbol) ready for you to then select the main wash program you want.

Is the icon the 'soak' stage?

Sorry your dinner was a fail... though I"ve been on quite a successful run myself lately... both my chicken biryani pizza and my 'shepherd's pie' pie were nothing short of stunning.

having said that, it was bacon, fried potatoes and fried bread for dinner...

I was going to make pork chops, mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts (mmmmmm sprouts) but I've had no ambition to do anything today so far. I have a mountain of housework that needs to be done, too.

Generally though, I rarely eat on weekends (bad habit, I know).

I do have some pretty easy recipes if you'd like, OP. Though you said you don't eat vegetables (BAD BOY!), and all of them include them in some form or another

Could be a soak stage, but seems kind of pointless to soak already wet clothes :P I'd say it wasn't a prewash, because on the dial it happens just before it spins the water out after a full wash :P

Never mind your dinner, Stella Artois makes cider? How come nobody ever told me that?? Biomech, you don't even really neeeeed dinner if you have a hearty supply of cider (and/or bacon)

However, if you absolutely must have dinner, may I recommend some dishes from this gem of a cookbook:
Eat What You Want and Die Like a Man

Well, the soak stage allows the enzyme-esque stage of the detergent to get going on all the crap crusted to your bachelor clothes...

Well, since I've gained 10 pounds in the past month and a half (and when you're as heavy as I am, that's not a good thing), I figured I'd have a healthy shake for dinner. Frozen berries, some skim milk, honey, and (my mistake) vegan protein powder.

It looks much better than it tastes and I subsequently threw half of it out. Blech. Chalky and pasty tasting.

I am now going to brace the freezing rain to go to the store to get a salad and maybe some roast chicken. I so don't want to go out
