Default Introduction

My name is Kenny, I have always loved photography but just recently purchased a DSLR. I am in the learning process of it, but love it so far. I have been coming to this site and reading a lot of the articles on the home page (love the mobile site to get me through work as well) and reading posts on here. I have seen many great photos on this forum. I am based near the Chesapeake bay and Historic St Marys City, about a hour south of Washington DC. From some of the articles I have read, I have started a goal list of places to shoot and hope to share them here. I am mostly drawn to landscapes and wild life, but I plan on doing a practice shoot with the kids this weekend.

Thanks.

I'll second that. Welcome, Kenny. Hope you'll enjoy your stay at school.

Hi Kenny, and welcome. There are plenty of kind folks here to help you in your learning and plenty of great photographers to inspire you. Check out the rest of the forums - you can waste a whole day in this place!

Default Hello....

Hello Kenny,
I grew up in that neck of the woods. Takoma Park, MD. My sister and my nephew still reside in the DC area. I recently went to visit there and got some great shots from the eastern market area of DC and at the National Harbor. I'll share them with you if you like. My wife and I have fond memories of staying in Crisfield. There is a lot to photograph in that slice of the USA. Many, many, many subjects to find! I'm jealous, can't you tell? Anyhow, welcome and share with us.
