Default Flickr Pro

I've been wondering about getting a Flickr Pro Account. I'm always running out of room on my Flickr account, and end up having to delete some older pictures to fit more new ones in. A Pro account would give me unlimited photo space, which I would really like.

And $24.95 a year, (about $2 a month) doesn't sound like too bad of a price.

The link above was all the information I could find on Flickr about a Pro account. Is that all that you can do with it?

Do any of you guys have a Flickr Pro account? And do you think it's worth the money you paid for it?? I see a lot of people on Flickr with Pro accounts.
Do you think it's worth $24.95 a year? (you know, for some reason, $2 a month sounds a lot cheaper than $24.95 a year. )

Sorry if this seems like a silly topic. But I like to see what other people think about something before I buy it myself. I don't want to waste my money one something that's not worth it.

Thanks, guys!

I have had one since 2006 and think it is worth it, especially if you participate in the communities and forums.
You may also want to have a look at this (FAQ)

If you only want something to display your photographs to better advantage to clients/family/friends there are other sites you may want to consider. I use Zenfolio for that.

Have one since 2008.
Mostly for posting here and sharing with family and friends as I don't see the point of having accounts at multiple places and Flickr fits all my needs for now.
And yes, it's rather cheap.

Get it... I had it since March 2011 and I have 421 items / 9,554 views on my stream itself... those numbers to me look good, plus about 50,000 total views on all photos.

I never planned on going pro until participation on groups within flickr demands it (sort of). Quality wise, flickr is worth it. Archiving though, you'd have to keep being pro to make all past pictures visible.

$25 a year isn't so bad. But multiply that to how long you want to keep your pro status.

If you don't renew your pro account I believe they keep the photos just only let you have access to the last 200, but if renew later they are still there.

$25 a year even for 10 years is very cheap for secure off-site backup that is stored on redundant servers for your protection.

I've had a pro account for years. I use it to share with far flung family and friends as well as for forums. It actually came in handy once when I lost some images from my computer before I could back them up and was able to download some of them from flickr.

I'd say it's worth the money.

It's definitely worth it. I let mine run out because I stopped using Flickr for awhile but now I'm thinking of upgrading again. The price is worth is for the unlimited uploads alone, but there are other neat features as well. I love all the account statistics you get.
