Default E-Bay

Has anyone ever bought a camera off of e-bay?How was the outcome?

I see a couple of used canon 50D for sale and was thinking of bidding on them.

Thanks to any info.

Charlie

Bought a N60 off Ebay. No problemo. Bunch of other small stuff too, the most recent of which a body cap that has yet to come.
Just remember to be careful and ALWAYS CHECK THE SELLERS RATING.

Ebay, and the local equivalent, is my favourite shopping channel.. I don't need brand new everything. Only thing I won't buy of email is memory cards, since it's very easy to alter the file allocation table to make it appear like a 128gb card when it's in fact a 8gb card, then stick a fake sticker on it.. You won't know anything, your camera will merrily keep clicking away thinking all your memories are safely stored, it's only when you come to play them back that you get an error stating that the files are corrupted.. Oh well, it's a mistake you make only once.

Bought heaps from Ebay - cameras, lenses and accessories - new and used without any major problem. Had a couple of minor hicups and was refunded immediately. But buy from reputable dealers and those only with a good selling record. Just a warning: there are some who buy a lot of cheap stuff to get a good rating. Only go by a good selling record!

Bought from ebay, some good some not. If there's a big price difference go for it, if it's just £50 or so, I'd buy new from a shop
