Default Hands-on training

Hi. This is my first post. Need some advice. Years ago I was very much into 35mm photography, even darkroom developing my own shots. Now my son, who is a high school junior and works on the school paper, is getting into digital photography. I got him a basic digital camera, and he loves it! I want to get him and me live, hands-on, real-time digital photography lessons. We live in the Little Rock Arkansas area, and I have searched on-line and can find nothing, other than community college courses for which we are too late (and probably ineligible) to sign up. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sometimes communities or cities offer low cost classes for residents...that's where I'd look. Most of the classes start around age 15 or so. Hopefully, you can take a class together as it sounds like it would be something fun for you to do as a father/son activity.

Good luck!

I don't live in the USA, however sometimes camera stores run classes.

Why not give Bedford Camera & Video a call?

Thanks mosgood and Richard. I am following up on each of your suggestions. And I'm excited about this new adventure I will be sharing with my son. A local library has just posted a photography contest for youngsters (young adults) his age, which, incidentally, is being sponsored by Bedford Camera. Thanks again for responding and offering good advice.
