Question HDR Question

I'm trying to learn how to do HDR images, but I'm a little confused. I think I'm following the tutorial, but something is happening that I don't understand. I open the 3 different exposures in ACR; I do the normal adjustments there; I open the 3 images in Photoshop CS5,but when I try to do the Merge to HDR, I get a little notice telling me there's an error- and the images won't merge. What can I do? Thanks.

First - never adjust anything before merging them (at least that is the school I adhere to). I don't adjust things until the merge is done. If you are a little off on the WB it will be all goofy. Not sure if your adjustments are causing the errors but it certainly could be.

Thanks, Izzy. When I open the images, they go straight to ACR. Should I just send them right to Photoshop, without touching any of the sliders? Appreciate your input.

Izzy is right.. don't make any adjustments until after the merge.. The merge process will often cancel out a lot of the adjustments, and you might well make the merge process less effective.

Open Photoshop without opening any files, click on file>Automate>Merge to HDR pro and then select your files from there..
