As always, I'm glad to ask in this forum. Thank you, good people.
Biggest LED so far on the general market is 27" and some 30" LCD monitor, within my budget. I guess I have to personally check them out before choosing. Besides IPS on mind, are there any others that I have to watch out for?

Dont get a TV. Plain and simple. TVs are designed for broadcast: their contrast ratios are far too high. You need a monitor,

The Apple Cinema display is huge (30" 2560 x 1600) and very very good.. It's expensive but will work with any PC with a DVI port, not just Apples.. For once, I don't feel the extra paid for an Apple product is unjustified.
