Default Goodbye

I have been here for a bit and have met some very good and worthwhile people.

Sadly the mods tolerance and tacit support of abuse of members that do not toe the line has become more than I am willing to tolerate. When a member is called a F**king retard and not one mod steps in, the time for me to leave has come. If this was an isolated incident it would be different, but is is part of an established MO.

There are far too many good and civil photo forums out there to put up with this abuse.

I wish you all well, goodbye.

Thunder.

There are currently 155,757 users and over a million posts on this forum. The mods are not able to watch every little thing that goes on.

Who is the offending poster and where is the post?

I've been called worse! Not on this forum I mean but in general. I want to know where this post is too. I thought everything was hunky dory lately on this community.

Thunder, hate to see someone leave like this. I think the mods would prefer people to get things worked out without their intervention if at all possible. Now if it gets too far out of hand, I agree they need to step in. From what I can tell, the two parties in this case have somewhat agreed to disagree and it looks like it isn't going any further. If you do leave, I wish you the best.

I'm not going to name names but if you search for it you'll find it. I agree the mods can't catch everything though.

As a side note: I think a lot of the things Thunder is seeing comes about due to misinterpretation of posts. I say things myself on here a lot of times and don't think about it coming across different when it's typed out as opposed to the way it sounds face-to-face.

Maybe you need a thicker skin? Why not just ignore them. The mods can't possibly read every post.

Yeah, I had found it.

You are leaving because of that?

Just sounds like two people getting a bit too hot under the collar to me. Unfortunately it does happen from time to time and you just have to ignore it (or try to). It does make for a more interesting read for the people that aren't in the thick of it though.

Yeah I've been called a thief by some of the self righteous members here but I still hang around. Candidrachel is right. One persons drag down knock out flame war, is another persons entertainment. I like to be entertained as much as the next person. That's why I'm still here.
