Peter Lik is going to be on the Weather Channel, March 31st? This will be interesting.

I'm sorry. Why is that a question?

Well, just seems strange to me that one of the best, if not the very best landscape photographers ever is going to be on the Weather Channel. I suppose that his photo's can tie in with weather. Like I said, it will be intersting.. cant wait!
haha, you don't seem to get it. That sentence was not structured to be a question.
You just misplaced a question mark (or you cannot write properly).![]()

Not sure about the role weather plays in landscape photography? Check out Marcin Sach's amazing work. As for Peter Flik; the guy's work is darned good, no doubt about that, but I'm not ready to call him the best in the world as long as Frans Lanting and Freeman Patterson and others are alive.

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.

Caught the re-run on Friday night. It was okay. As the OP said, not sure why he is on the weather channel unless it is because he demonstates how much the weather affects his photography. It took him 3 days to get the shot he wanted of lava flowing into the sea from Kilauwa. What does he shot with? At first I thought it was a Nikon, but then it looked like a Hassy.

Peter Lik does have an awesome portfolio.
But what he is even better at is sales! He has managed to sell his prints to celebs and big wigs all around the world. That has helped him to creat an image for himself that allows him to sell his Prints at $3500-6,000 a pop.
I own a Peter Lik and it is awesome! However, I will say that there are thousands of photographs on Flickr that are just as nice as Peter's.
Here is a little something you might find interesting as well. Peter's team of media people had a huge gaff the other day, when they used one of Trey Ratcliff's photos to help promote his show without giving Trey proper credit.
Peter Lik – Your Thoughts?
Im not sure what to make of this. I think Peter had nothing to do with it, but still if you work in this industry you should know better.
