Default What Would You Do? 121

Our very own Peeperita has supplied us with this weeks version of WWYD. Thanks a million Peep. I see a ton of possibilities for this one

The rules are simple, edit the image anyway that you see fit and then post the steps you took to get to your final image.

This challenge is as much about learning as it is about sharing with others so that they may learn.
Now, let's see what you would do!

This belongs to Peerpita

If you would like to submit an image for WWYD please send me a medium sized image (html code is a plus) and a lnk to a lrger version

This challenge is all about challenging your processing skills. You are welcome to make as many or as little changes to the image as you like.
You can change the color, add a new sky, make into an abtract, play with shadows and highlights. The sjy is the limit!

Example,

First thing I did was to crop it down and mirror it. Then using Rafelct four seasons I added in a new sky (which I killed the railings but with more time it wouldnt have happened)
Next I used Niks Silver Efex to convert to B & W. Mura Meisters clouds for a bit of fog and last but not least added a vignette using Nik Color Efex Pro. Sure liked my plugins today!

What Would You Do #121

I found the lines and structure of the pier very interesting and used some effects to enhance that.

In Paint Shop Pro:
  • Created a duplicate of the original image on a new layer.
  • Applied noise reduction and the Edges Find All effect to create a line drawing effect.
  • Enhanced the contrast of the line drawing layer.
  • Added two copies of the original image as layers, one set to Multiply, the other to Overlay. Adjusted the visibility of these two layers to "color" the line drawing.
  • Added two texture layers, one set to Screen, the other to Overlay, and adjusted their visibility.
  • Cropped the image around the end of the pier and the fishermen.
