Snowy scene
 We live in New England but my wife telecommutes to WA. They don't get the kind of snow we get here and wanted to see what it was like. I would like to see really impressive lens flare. Not impressive because it's huge and overpowering but because the poster feels it actually contributed to the picture. -- Later -- I think I'll loosen that up a bit. Instead of specifying lens flare, how about just a happy accident? The pelican in this picture was just sitting in the tree when I hit the button on my CoolPix 4300 (old, but nice for its day) last year.  The shutter lag on the CoolPix meant I got the bird just as he was taking off instead. Last edited by gweston; 11-25-2009 at 07:12 PM. Reason: Broadening the topic.

Lens flare
 Here's my lens flare which was added in PSE to increase the effect that occurred naturally when I took it. I upped the saturation a bit too. I would like to see a Thanksgiving feast next please & wish all those celebrating a Happy Thanksgiving Day :-)
