Default Classic Rock Challenge II

This week for our Classic Rock Challenge, I bring you an album that was one of the very first concept albums, and as you can see, this week marks the 40th anniversary of it's debut.

The Moody Blues first full studio album, "Days Of Future Passed", was released on November, 11 1967 & stayed on the Billboard charts for over 2 years. Featuring the soon-to-be classic "Tuesday Afternoon" & one of the biggest-selling singles of all time, "Nights in White Satin". The Moody Blues were often thought of as the greatest "Make-out" band in the world. If you wanted to get a girl in-the-mood, all you had to do was put "Nights in White Satin" on the turntable( you know, that thing with the needle), turn down the lights, & warm up the lava lamp. Then let nature take it's course!!

The_Moody_Blues_-_Days_Of_Future_Passed_-_Front_[covertarget_com]
Tracks:
1) The Day Begins
2) Dawn: Dawn is a Feeling
3) The Morning: Another Morning
4) Lunch Break: Peak Hour
5) The Afternoon: Forever Afternoon(Tuesday?)/Time to Get Away
6) Evening: Sunset/Twilight Time
7) The Night: Nights In White Satin

Evening:Sunset/Twilight Time

5-22-05 005

Now remember, the only rule here is to use either, the album title, or any one of the song titles, & show us your interpretation of that
title with a picture. You don't necessarily have to know the song, just use the title for inspiration. This week, I'm sure we'll see a lot of sunsets & sunrises, but that's okay! The more the merrier, I say.

Now, kick back, slap that old LP on the turntable, turn up the volume(because those ears are getting old), pour yourself a glass of your favorite wine, & enjoy the mellow moods of The Moody Blues.

Cold hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight
Red is gray and yellow, white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion

Pinprick holes in a colourless sky
Let insipid figures of light pass by
The mighty light of ten thousand suns
Challenges infinity and is soon gone
Night time, to some a brief interlude
To others the fear of solitude

Obviously a track about low-light photography!
And Yes! I remember it well. In fact I think I've still got a vinyl copy in the attic.

Do love the Moody Blues. And I think this is a moody, blue photo.

Leafyfingers; I love it! Thinking outside the box & a good chuckle, thanks.

Jiminy; I was wondering how someone would interpret that one. Nicely done!

Teinee; Very cool!! No pun intended.
