Anyone care to guess as to what this is?

Just curious to see how good you Macro users are. I'm new to it so you might guess it right off but after taking the pic I was amazed how getting down so close totally changes the perspective.

Give it your best shot! No prizes, but I will give you a smiley face if you get it. lol

After a couple days I'll give the answer.
