Default 100 Steps

I'm trying a new challenge and have added it to my blog.

It's a 100 Step Challenge. All you do is walk, count your steps, stop when you have taken 100, and shoot.

I didn't pick a very pretty direction this morning. I ended up at the railroad tracks. I'll have to go a different direction next time.

Give it a try, it's kind of fun!

This could be interesting but I'm waiting for nicer weather to go walking. I'm also wondering how far I will count before I get distracted and forget to count. To a hundred is a long way for someone who likes to have conversations with oneself while walking. Guess I'll have to make it a conversation about counting to 100. And then I hope I remember what I went out walking for and don't forget to stop at 100 steps.

On the contrary BulldogMom, I like your train shot.
How many pictures does this challenge have us take? Like would you like several of the one spot we stop at 100 steps, or do you want us to walk 300 steps and take one picture at each 100?

Walk from any starting point? And same question as BabetteKD Cause if I walk 100 steps from my house, I'll only just wind up at street level every time... it's literally 100 stairs lol

That's funny! I'm glad I'm not the only one who can get somewhere and forget why she's there!

Thanks Babette! I guess I just see them all the time so they are old news here.

I just took the one, I thought it would be fun to do it several times over on different days or different times and go different directions and see what kind of collection I come up with. So I guess just one shot at a time.

But I do like the idea of several shots taken 100 steps apart! That sounds like fun too! And it would be easy enough to do when I'm out walking with the camera and the dog anyway.

Nicole, I was thinking 100 steps from where you pick up the camera. So in my case I started counting at the kitchen table/my studio . But in your case maybe you should start counting from the bottom of the steps!

Basically you just want us to take pictures of what's on the ground ... because with my zoom lens it can take a lot closer than 100 steps if i take a picture of big object
