I just posted this one under How I took it. But I wanted to add it here too.. I don't know which kind of Orchid but I am excited to tell you that there is no Post Processing on this one.

WOW! No post! Did you sharpen in-camera? This is really sharp! And, I LOVE the symmetrical highlights in the background.

Nope. I used a String Tripod to steady myself since tripods aren't accepted in the conservatory. And used a film canister to diffuse my flash that I used to fill-in the flower. Otherwise the flower had a weird shadow and I would have increased the ISO to 1600. I had read that someone else had used a defused flash to fill in flowers. So i gave that a try and ended up using that for quite a few indoor shots. I am also proud to say this is with a Kit lens (EF28-90mm f/4-5.6) It came with my 35 mm Rebel K2.

You know, I built a string tripod, and have yet to actually use it. You've given me incentive. Now, I've got to find a light film canister...
