Default Classic Rock Challenge XV

This week in Classic Rock Challenge we pay tribute to Jeff Healey. Jeff passed away this past Sunday(March 2, 2008) after a long battle with cancer. He was 41 tears young.

Taken from Jeff Healey's home page.
Quote:
Rendered blind from eye cancer since the age of one, Healey picked up his first guitar at three, and - by playing the instrument flat on his lap - patented a revolutionary technique that went on to become a trademark of his performance. By the age of six, Healey was playing and singing in public. Once he reached his teens, the guitarist had already played in several bands, and experimented with numerous musical genres. At the age of fourteen, Healey had become the principal music spe******t at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, routinely airing vintage selections from his now 25,000-strong collection of 78 rpm recordings for his weekly radio broadcast.
If you are not familiar with the Jeff Healey Band, you may remember them from the movie "Roadhouse", that starred Patrick Swayze. Their first album was recorded in 1988 & is definitely a kick-butt rocker. The 80's did have a few good things & this album is one of them. So here it is!!!

"See the Light" by The Jeff Healey band.

Gotcha!!!!

Again, to everyone concerned, I apologize for the past few weeks. I'll try to get a guest DJ when I can't make it for the week. It seemed to work out well last week.

Nice album pick. This is one that I actually have, and is one of my favorite albums. I hadn't heard that Jeff passed away. Sad news, but he did leave his mark.
