  • A treat for car enthusiasts

Napier, on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand, is known as the the Art Deco Capital of the World. Napier was rebuilt in the early 1930s following a massive Richter 7.8 Earthquake. Subsequent fires destroyed most of its commercial heart. By the end of the decade, Napier was the newest city on the globe. Every February the city celebrates it's unique Art Deco style with a week of events & fun. Over 65% of the tens of thousands of visitors & locals dress in 1930s style. It's one big street party, these are from the vintage car parade. See the bottom for a link to the rest of the parade.

Very nice pictures, I grew up with vintage cars so they have a special place for me. I've had a long look at the whole collection and I hope you know what each car is!! Thanks for sharing.
