    Assignment: Winter

    Branches - 1

Branches against a cold winter's sky, taken using my Lensbaby:

    # Date: 2 February 2008
    # Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40)
    # Aperture: f/4
    # Focal Length: ? (lensbaby 2.0)
    # ISO Speed: 400
    # Camera: Nikon D40 on manual, handheld

As well as the colours, this also spoke to me of winter because of the way it can seem overwhelming as you wait for the return of summer.

          Great shot!

I'm struggling with ideas for this one at the moment as we seem to be at that inbetween seasons stage where nothing much is inspiring me. Must try harder

I just used my lumix panasonic camera, didn't really do anything to it, except for sharpen it.

I took a similar photo of that.
brought the white of the flower out, and made the background a soft unfocus. Thought it turned out kinda nice

No pics yet, as I just found the assignment. It is interesting to think about the seasons and our limited points of view. I live in NW Florida, and we will have thousands of Spring Breakers visiting our beaches in three weeks. Pine Tree pollen is already falling and covering our windshields. Temps yesterday, were in the upper 70's F. For me, the current season is early spring, but spring here, doesn't mean new leaves on trees or flowers blooming. Our leaves stay on year round, and the Oaks shed some leaves in the Spring. Our wild flowers begin blooming in the Fall, (Nov). So, when I do post my photo, you will likely think I'm confused, which might be the case, but I do know my season.
Still haven't figured out how to maintain my EXIF when reducing image, so if someone wants to help me out in that specific thread, I have a post or two in there...

                    Seasons Greetings!

                      Picnic Memories

                      My entry: Picnic Memories
...whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
