    Found this on You Tube, think this guy has the best idea for sturdy DIY softboxes that I've seen yet.

    Gear: Nikon D3100; 18-55mm kit lens; Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 LD Macro 1:2; tripod.

        I know digging up old posts is usually frowned upon. But after doing a google search on building your own soft box and having it lead me right back here to DPS, I just wanted to bring up how invaluable some of the Very simple information in this video really is. Following what he did on those DIY projects can save you hundreds if not thousands on expensive lighting setups. I know it just saved me a whole lot of money.
