  • Lightmeter

    Greetings,

I'm looking at getting a light meter after I get a SB-900 and was curious what other people use. I'm looking at either the Sekonic 358 or the 558...thanks for any input.

The 358 is very popular and will do anything you might need. The 558 seems like overkill and is out of production. I guess if you are using PW wireless, and can also find the option trigger for it, that could be pretty nice. But also look into the Konica-Minolta Autometers (IVF/ VF)...Also well featured and less expensive but I think used is the only option here as well.

Someone who uses them regularly will hopefully chime in.

I have the 358 with the PocketWizard radio attachment. Very happy.

I use the 358 as well and it does everything I need.

Thanks...358 would save me some money towards my purchase of the D800.
