I am a very amateur photographer and a friend requested that I do family pictures for her and her cousins. She is 19 and her cousins are 13, 10 and 8. Any advice on how to pose such different age groups would be great! She also wants the "natural" looking non-posed shots also but I cant figure out how to make this group non-posed and still get good pictures. I think its the ages and the whole distant family thing that is throwing me off. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I was asked by a friend to take some holiday pictures of their 2 kids (1 and 2 years old) and I am relatively new to photography and mostly take photos outdoors, i am looking for what i would need equipment wise to get good pictures, i have a Nikon D90, a tripod, and a 18-200 lens. I dont have any kind of lighting and am looking for an inexpensive way to make the best of the situation :) I dont know if they would want to do things out doors or indoors but i live in michigan so its going to be COLD outside by the time we organize a date for this. Also any locations background suggestions would also be helpful

Thanks, any suggestions, or tips for photographing kids would be much appreciated.

Hey all,

Back in September I got asked to do some promo photos for a band some of my friends are in. I'd never done promo photos for bands before, so it was a nice experience for me! Plus I got a free shirt from them, and will be getting a free EP when they're finished with that as well! =) Anyway, let me know what you think. Any tips for future shoots would be great also!

I just found out today, that today at 7PM GMT, MediaMarkt (an European electronics store)
in partnership with Canon are giving a photography workshop.

We will take our cameras, whatever they are, and at the end we will be taking photos of a model in a studio.

the 3 best photographs will win a Canon EOS 500D + 18-55mm IS :D :D

I never shot any one in a studio, the closest thing i've done so far was photograph kittens against a white background.

So do any one have any last hour winning tip? :p heheh

appreciated
