Default selling photos for web use.

I just had a phone call from a guy i done a gig with asking if it was ok for him to pass on my mobile number to a company who is intrested in buying one of my photos for a website.

trouble is i have no idea about how much a photo is worth being sold in this way.

it will probibly be one of these photos..

You need to ask what it is going to be used for and for how long.
Normally a one-year limited rights for web usage ranges from $250.00 upwards.

As Jim alluded to, you don't sell the image, you sell a limited time use license. If they then want to use it another year, they have to buy an extension or new use license.

Check out the ASMP Licensing Guide.

Its all depend on its usage ..how they are going to use this ..

if they are using it for the web then the price will be less and if they are using it for the print then price will be high..

and one more thing there are two ways you can sell your photos which are as follows:

1. royalty free
2.rights-managed

so you need to know that in which mode they are buying your photo..
