I had a quick look at work and I've just gone to have another look now and only get the small size (good move there) but I have to say, not pixelation, but noise - I see a bit of noise in a few of your images. I also see perhaps a little bit of a color issue, but nothing to write home about. Can you do me a little favour and post the exif for a couple of your images?

Ok, for #25 Manual mode, 40mm, f/4.9, no flash, auto white balance, ISO 500 #33 same as above except 32mm and f/4.4 I thought my iso was set at 200.

Just had a quick look at the images seems to me the "pixels" are her daughter's freckles and the Fuschia lips you could egt rid in edit if you wanted too maybe try that to calm her down but the complaints ARE petty and aimed at getting a discount obviously my monitor is not calibrated liek yours but if it was spending the moeny I would be happy ... however we have not seen teh final finished prioduct so are going purely on the net version of same
*looks up* Woah ISO 500 that would add noise into the equation..... but from what I am seeing could be skin blotches or freckles ... colour wise yes bright but not sickly wrong maybe tone it down in PP.. or just say to her keep your moeny I will keep the prints and leave it she is obviously hard to please high maintenance etc etc ... sheeeeeee ![]() ssssh soem people !

iso500 in daylight is a bit keen. Sometimes.
With the larger versions I could certainly see some digital noise, semi-easily introduced at iso500 on a D40... (In the right light conditions / with shade) I'd love to see the larger versions again. I shoot RAW pretty much all the time, now. When you say "When you get your confidence up" Shooting RAW makes it so much easier, with the right digital developing knowledge, do correct white balance and so on.. Shooting RAW though, will not help your noise factor. Would you consider emailing me one of the larger ones to have a look at? - simon@gtvone.com if you like (Understand if not) Sime |

LOL!
Wow. Just...wow. I tend to agree with the other assessments; she's just looking for something to complain about in hopes of getting a discount. I think the pictures you took are really good. DO NOT release the copyrights to your images. I can't believe the other photographer even suggested such a ridiculous idea. Unbelievable! And the fact she brought her camera to take pictures while you were...sheesh! That reminds me of a wedding I went to not too long ago. The bride's father had his camera (he had nice gear) out snapping pictures (at least a couple hundred, which is a funny story in and of itself) while the hired photographer was trying to work as well. Very disrespectful if you ask me. I think you have the right ideas for trying to resolve the situation. Stick with it. Try and come to some sort of (new) resolution. If not, you have the original contract, and she's legally bound to it. I hope all this gets straightened out for you. Once it does, stay away from her! Haha. |

From the person's standpoint who is "butting-in", so to speak, they believe it's perfectly okay. In the most offensive way, they might think that they can do the same thing for free and want to prove you are ripping them off somehow. (Yes there are some people go through their life feeling this way about everything. It seems like a sad life to me.) In the most flattering way, they probably just want to play and maybe learn something too. The second type are usually quite fun to work with, once there is an understanding of who is the real professional. They usually like to talk shop for fun, and then they let you do your job. The first type are just evil and malcontent. |

wow this was actually a fun thread to read lol, i totally agree with everything thats been said, good for you for not releasing your rights, also the lowering of pic size on your website, great decision!
, in 33 the "pixels" are just the freckles/pores in the skin, absolutely nothing wrong with that. I have no experience as a professional photographer, but do from an amateur standpoint, however i am more of (ok im the perfect example of) the second kind from what formelement was talking about my personal advice from reading this thread and just plain thinking is that tell her this is what you signed, this is what you ordered, u have what you ordered, on these two pics i will......(this has been said and i dont feel the need or want to retype it )....and sign a contract saying that and then walk away, if you have the money from the shoot and prints than ur good best of luck
