    Taken - 19 October 2014
This is the closest thing we've had to clear skies in weeks. The glow is light pollution from the nearby town (which is 25 km. away), thought it was kind of cool.

    Cool Assignment 41 | 2014 - Stars

Just catching the Milky Way before the clouds rolled in and ruined the shot. A car drove past highlighting some of the trees branches in the foreground. Fortunately I didn't catch the headlights in the shot otherwise this timed exposure would have been ruined.

I decided recently that I would like to get some shots of the Milky Way. Read up all the tips and suggestions thinking winter and long nights would be the ideal time. Well it turns out that I'm wrong as the sun obscures the Milky Way in the northern hemisphere from November until May. If I see some clear skies in the next few night I will post a shot.
