Default Help

Hi,
I have a point'n'shot Sony DSC-s930 it's a good P'n'S camera, but I want to go DSLR

I'm interested in a canon eos 1000d

I have one Eos 1000D + EF 18-55mm for 375 € (561,6 U.S. Dollars)

and one Eos 1000D + EF-S 18-55 f/3,5-5,6 II(with IS) for 419€ (627,50 U.S. Dollars)

What are your advices?

I'm leaning to the one with IS it may be more expensive but I think the IS is worthed...

Thnks

The use of IS on a lens of that focal length is subjective. 80mm (equivalent) isnt quite long enough for it to be necessary: I would like it on my 18-70, beacuse at a 105mm equivalent i do find it would be beneficial.

Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens Review

The IS does seem to be sharper especially wide open.
