Default Hotkeys or Settings Menu?

Well, I was playing around with a T3i today and was loving it. Then, as I was in full manual and going to change some settings like ISO, Shutter speed, etc... I noticed that it required me to remove my eye from the viewfinder and then press multiple buttons to do so.

On my simple bridge camera, the Fujifilm HS10, it has some great "hotkeys" on the left hand side of the LCD for ISO, AF, AF points, WB, etc.... and also when in full manual, all I have to do is rotate a dial and can be done while still composing the shot.

So my question is, would you prefer those keys over the standard menu and button pressing?

Dedicated buttons work for me.

The intermediate Canon DSLRS (40D, 50D etc) are a big step up, erganomically, from the entry level ones where you have to press more than one button or move your eye away from the viewfinder to change some settings.

With my 40D & 5D I never move my eye away from the viewfinder for "normal" shooting.

Is that the same for the 90D as well? I was thinking of getting that one. I tried the EOS from Canon, and I liked the quality, but the erganomics were way off for me.

I am not aware of a 90D.
